Call 020 3000 0000Alpha's E-Tec and Evoke ranges are popular with London landlords and letting agents thanks to their compact footprint and competitive pricing. The trade-off is that they're worked hard: we see plenty of E1 low-pressure lockouts (usually a slow leak on the system) and E10 flow sensor faults on units that have run through a few winters without a proper service. E110 and E133 lockouts on older Alphas typically mean sludge in the heat exchanger or ignition electrode wear.
Alpha parts availability has improved considerably in the last few years, and our engineers carry the common E-Tec and InTec spares, sensors, electrodes, diverter cartridges, on the van. That keeps our first-visit fix rate high on Alpha jobs.
Repressurise to 1.5 bar. Recurring E1 means a leak, book a trace, don't just keep topping up.
Usually a failed NTC sensor. A single-visit fix once diagnosed.
Similar to E10, a return NTC replacement. Engineer visit required.
Sludged heat exchanger or a failed thermistor. Don't keep resetting, book a proper diagnosis.
Check other gas appliances. If they work, the fault is internal, electrodes, gas valve or PCB.
